COMMENTS -
The G-Ride feels loose, like a big wave board. It has good high-end speed and should point upwind a little better for a board in this class. A good all-around board.

Sailed this board on a 6.5 sail. Was very smooth and easy to sail. This board can take a much larger sail than I would have imagined.—Fran Conway

A very user-friendly board probably suited more to intermediate sailors in flat to choppy conditions. I don't think it worked well in waves. Personally, I prefer either a pure wave or a pure freestyle board, this was in between. Seems to me you should either get a Maxxride series or a PowerWave series. I'm not sure why they made the G-Ride.—Al Chinappi

Ideal big sail, light-wind board—James Hirshberg

Great board! Very versatile; fast, responsive. Planes early in light wind but sails like a smaller board.—Suzie Kokkins

Stable for such a short wide board. Easy to land jumps. Quick turning—Tom Stevenson

Didn't plane early with 4.1 in gusty conditions. Still fast and easy to turn. Got bouncy in large chop.—Suzie Kokkins

Fin felt small, check fin. Felt slow, didn't get upwind.—Suzie Kokkins

Tested on a 5.2 in light wind. Excellent upwind and planing ability. Slogs upwind well too! Jibing this board was surprisingly easy even though it is quite wide. Jumped well when powered, felt balanced in the air. Footstraps need work as your feet slide out too easy! The board was stable and the volume in the right spots for sail flipping tricks. Turned tight in jibes and tacks, very responsive for its size. An all around gem for a light person, med-light wind freestyle board. Bet that it would be an ideal 5.0-6.5 meter freestyle board for me.—Martin Milne
