Snappy, fast, with good control, the Hi-Tech 8’0" needs lots of wind to be fully powered up. The pointed nose shape could put holes in sails if you lose it in the waves.

This board carves smoothly through jibes and is controllable in higher winds (3.7 sail for me) as well as low winds. It turns well on swells.—Kristen Olson
