This is a classically-shaped board that’s fast and snappy. The 8’6" Wave works best in big waves and requires advanced sailing skills. It’s well-balanced and good at getting back upwind.

Tracks well for a wave board; would also make a good high wind bump & jump board. In the waves very easy to drive the tail in bottom turn, very user-friendly. Straps or inserts are very close.—Graham Turner

A great floaty wave board--continues a line of consistently good shapes from Hi-Tech. Will work well with bigger sails and East Coast waves. Definitely a wave board, not a great bump&jump board--not the best in big chop.—Al Chinappi
