LIFESOURCE: Photographer Douglas Faulkner’s portrait of Lynnie Nielson comes from a series of underwater nudes taken on Maui for a book project in 1991. Nielson’s underwater dancing reminded Faulkner of a Matisse painting. The image captures the significance of our watery world. The same world where windsurfers experience the joy of wind and water. A realm that covers most of the earth’s surface. Photography was taken with a Nikon F3 and motor drive in a Tussey custom housing and a 24mm 2.8 Nikkor lens.
