WINDSURFING MAGAZINES' MILLENNIUMMERGER:
AMERICAN WINDSURFER BECOMES THE WORLD'S LARGEST WINDSURFING MAGAZINE

GILFORD, NH: American Windsurfer is pleased to announce its purchase of Wind
Tracks Journal, a windsurfing magazine published in Hood River, Oregon. With
the merger of these two publications, American Windsurfer enters the 21st
century as the world's largest windsurfing magazine.

"With our special millennium issue coming up, the timing for this merger
could not be better," says John Chao, Publisher/Editor of American
Widnsurfer. "In synchronizing our vision and values with Wind Tracks
Journal's committment to quality windsurfing journalism, this merger means
more exposure for our sport." Clay Feeter, publisher of Wind Tracks Journal
says, "This merger is a greatl move for us! It will take our vision for the
future growth of windsurfing and make it a reality. American Windsurfer
represents the values we cherish."

The combined subscription list of these two magazines, along with the
committed circulation base of 120,000 will give American Windsurfer the
highest circulation base of any windsurfing publication in the world. Under
the terms of consolidation, American Windsurfer will absorb Wind Tracks
Journal into its printed pages and will honor all of Wind Tracks'
subscribers.

After a brief stop in Hood River, Oregon, Publisher/Editor John Chao met
with windsurfing industry leaders to discuss the consolidation and the
outstanding success of American Windsurfer's website.
http://www.americanwindsurfer.com has registered more than 1-million (1,000,000)
hits since June 30, 1999. In addition to features, product information, and
windsurfing clinics, http://www.americanwindsurfer.com has pioneered a new service that includes five weeks of daily reports about performance tests of year 2000 windsurfing equipment at American Windsurfer's Club Paradise in Maui.
"Postcards from the Water's Edge" by Senior Editor Sam Moses represents an
innovative breakthrough format for reporting via the web.
http://www.americanwindsurfer.com will become a news service for the U.S. teams
competing in the Trans Atlantic Windsurf Race 2000, from March 18 to April 9, 2000.

"This merger is a prime move for us!" says Chao. "We believe that
windsurfing is the sport of the future. Combining these two magazines will
help us build our community in the 21st century."
