A MILLENNIUM PARTY
SHE HAS A TICKET! Angela Emory with her husband Sierra shows off her invitation to the American Windsurfer Test 2000 Millennium party. An estimated 400 windsurfers gathered at the spacious test site for Beer, Barby and a rock 'n roll Band headed by Nils Rosenblad of Neil Pryde. "I've lived on the island for a long time and this was the best party ever," claimed Keith Baxter. "You guys exemplify the spirit of Aloha not only with this party, but from what I heard, the good vibes that have come out of the whole test weeks!" Baxter showed up with his wife Karen along with Scott and Rhonda Smith Sanchez.
Windsurfing Dignitaries abounded on this star studded evening. Even Jim Drake, one of the three inventors of windsurfing flew in from LA. Senator John Kerry was scheduled to fly in but the funeral for a fellow Senator prevented the visit at the last minute. Windsurfing legends such as Fred Heywood, Robby Naish, Bjorn Dunkerbeck, Matt and Kevin Pritchard, Josh and Jason Stone, Ant and Nick Baker, Iballa and Diada Ruano Moreno, Keith Taboul, Francisco Goya, Levi Siver, Scott Carvill, Micah Buzianis, Jason Polakow, Allan Cadiz, Svein Rasmussen, Brian Talma, Scott Fenton, Robert Teriittehau, Robby Seeger, Vidar Jensen, Jennifer Henderson, Kelly Moore, Lucienne Ernst, Marco Perez, Web Pedrick, Finian Maynard, Steve Allen, Antonia Frey, Mark Angulo, Mike Waltz, and more, helped to make the evening a gathering of good fun and spirits.
