Dr. Jeffrey WhitakerDr. Jeffrey Whitaker, age 42, is the team's physician specializing in Chiropractic treatment and sports therapy. The Trans Atlantic race is a dream come true for Whitaker who longs to do ocean cruising. The race also provides Whitaker a great opportunity to work with elite athletes.Whitaker's experience with soft tissue injuries and spinal rehabilitation will be of great service to the US team members. He will help optimize the racer's physical ability to handle the grueling challenge before and after their daily heats. Born and raised on the coast of Massachusetts, Whitaker enjoys all watersports including boating and scuba diving. He is married with two kids and has been practicing for 12 years in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.
