On board the Kapitan Khlebnikov the teams finally settle into the reality of attemption of windsurfing across the Atlantic. The Khlebnikov kown as the KK is an impresive ship sitting on the pier just a block from the center of town. Like the bus ride from NYC, the challenge continues for every one trying to bring together this most complex event. While the sailors prepare their equipment, the organizers slowly begins to bring together the many intricate componets.

Several meeting were conducted yesterday and today informing the participants on the ever changing and evolving plans. The departure, originally scheduled for yesterday was delayed to today and quickly delayed to tomorrow. Safety for the sailors were of utmost priority and the delay was cause by the modifications on the side of the KK for safer launch and retrival.

All together 4 teams made the final cut. The US, Greece, France and Team Liberty made up of Anders Bringdal and Robert Territeau.

For the passengers who booked a ride on the KK, the trip has proven to be "the greatest!" Each member has a comfortable berth and the food abord the KK has been "fantastic." Everyone attended the skipers meeting and all feel very much a part of the campaign.

Tomorrow the 14th, The race begins at 10AM. Estimated arrival to England is now set to be after the 21st.
