LAST DAY IN TARIFA: Three days of training in 20-35 mph winds has helped boost the confidence within the US Team. Clearly the underdog against the strong Brazilian team, the US team's tactical move to Tarifa has prove positive in light of the light winds in Algarve, Portugal. While the other two teams sat and waited, the US team's time on the water has gained valuable information and opportunity to modify critical equipment necessary for the crossing. 4.5 and 5.0 sail sizes has been used by the team in the past two days. Tomorrow the team drives back to Algarve and prepares for two final days of testing with the boat. Rigging and de-rigging on the small 35 foot RIB will prove to be the biggest challenge of the event.
