RIBs AT LAST ! Another two day delay was announced as the boats who traveled 1,500 miles from Greece needed repairs. The US team has by now become accustomed to the notion of becoming windsurf tourists and made minor adjustments to their boat. All sailors felt confident in the safety aspects of the RIBs but are concerned whether the boats can accomodate all the equipment they've brought. The adventure aspects of the race and the new plan to overnight in a port from here till Cabo Verde has perked the interests of the racers. Plans are now set to have the boats ready for the next leg of the event which will have the teams race to Casablanca, Morocco. If all goes well, the two teams will reach Grand Canaria by the weekend. The replacement team for the Brazilian already flew to Gran Canary and have called to inform their teamates of 12-15 foot seas and 35-40 mph winds.
