REAL ACCIDENTAL TOURISTS: Monday April 3rd, the weather continued to be a factor for delay. Winds blew 50-60 in the morning and eventualy dropped to 30-40 by the afternoon. A decision was made to drive the two teams to Agadir, a five hour trip by car and some 12 hours by boat in normal conditions. The draught that has plagued the area in the past four month, was broken by the arrival of the TAWR teams. Two days of rain and cold weather followed the teams as they arrived to shore and made their way southward to Agadir. Another day off waiting for the RIBs and an early morning departure towards the Canaries. Today, winds are blowing a perfect 15-20 from the North West, a perfect reach to the island of Lanzarote, our next stop 200 miles.

Early the next morning they learned that the boats put into the port town of Safi, 120 miles north of Agadir and is scheduled to arrive in late afternoon. Some minor repair for OV2 the Brazilian boat which suffered a broken bilge pump. The American boat is OV3 and the European's boat is OV1. "Ocean Vagabond" is the name which appropriately described the feelings of the competitors.
